What? no. Scorpio and PS4 Pro aren't even direct competitors. Scorpio is clearly more powerful and positioned as next gen. Where as PS4 pro is intended to shut up the cry babies constantly complaining about resolution and FPS. This is a very strange time in the gaming market... and it's all down to clickbait "media outlets" and XB/PS fanboys.
You are right, it is a nice feature to have. My issue is that it's giving unwarranted ammunition to quarrelling fanboys, I swear half of them don't even know the difference between 4k/UHD and HDR. It's just another pointless argument to fill the n4g comment sections up with.
See I don't have an XB1, never had an XBox at all in fact... but I think it's great to see developers playing to different console's strengths instead of aiming for parity. HOWEVER, what I don't appreciate is articles like that and gamers making it out as if it's some sort of holy grail of gaming. It really isn't.
I haven't played a sims game in years, but how in hell did they get away with selling this game with those graphics?? It looks like a PS2 game. I know graphics aren't everything but come on! Their feet are literal oblongs :')
Well then they ALL need to stop crying about 1080p/60fps/4k when every single new game releases. The reason these new consoles exist are completely down to complaining gamers and "media outlets" instigating such complaining.
I highly doubt it will release next year, the fact that they haven't shown anything substantial yet (even a solid name) shows it's quite a way out... 2018 is my bet. If it does release next year, I feel like they will have rushed it for a release alongside the movie which is definitely not something that I want.

So we have Scorpio Releasing next year which i think we can all agree is MS's NEXT GEN attempt which is all good and well but then Sony will release PS5 probably Late 2018 ... Constant tit for tat. In Fact MW was the last COD game I did play and I didn't think it was all that great.
