dedicated servers are continuously online, imagine a 360 with COD3 in it just left on 24/7 (Ooooh HOT) so you and everyone else connects to that 360. When someone hosts a game you connect to their 360 so if the host desides he' had enough or his Mum calls his tea's ready he disconnects and you ALL get booted.

Well they released great looking screen's way back in 2005, so a while. I guess building the Engine burned up a lot of time.

Thats dedicated servers (PC standard)! Both Halo and CoD4 aren't, you have a host.
If you guys find CoD4 "so easy" why not play each other? Spice it up a bit pwnerers!

Basically this take over is more about slowing down google than anything else. Personally i agree, i see it as pointless, if you want to search something you "google it", i cant see that changing.

Are you seriously saying dedicated servers are worse?
I like dedicated servers bacuase you can find favourites which are full of SKILLED players, or have set map rotations i like, or gametypes that i like, whatever, i like them because I CHOOSE what i want to play on the game that I PAID for.
