your arguement is rediculous, ok maybe they havent achieved anything yet, but does that mean they should stop, is that your outlook on life? if you dont get something straight away you give up?
the ps3's are sat in peoples homes, each adding, maybe there fighting a lossing battle, maybe it seems meanless, but you know what, i give £2 a month to charity, but i still see alot of people dieing of hunger, now, should i stop giving?

reasons i bought the ps3:
had the games i want...MGS, KZ (after E3 trailer 05), LBP etc
had the HD player
WI-FI
just looks damn cool
and most important, it offers me a promise, the promise of it still being supportted and still kicking ass years from now.

...people seem to always bring up ("50m ps2 owners just waiting to upgrade"), perhaps dropping the BC wasnt such a bad move for sony. the huge ps2 install base will probably buy the more expensive 80gb because of its larger space and BC.
where as, new comers to the playstation can buy the cheaper 40gb as there probably not hardcore gamers who want the space or need the BC, plus its cheap!

CoD's MP looks amazing. id kinda compare it to halo (dont ask me why), UT has the speed and fun, you just wanna get back in there an hear the sweet sweet sound of "ULTRA KILLLLLLLL", CS has me on the edge of my seat all the time, the excitment of the 'rush' and the fear that every gun instills, one in the head and its game over (gotta love that deagle). but CoD, to me, just looks good old FUN like halo, but with all the added ranks and unlocks its gonna keep me coming back time and ...

i think im one of the few left who really loves a good single player experience. problem wth CoD is its all set pieces, so everytime you play through it regardless of difficulty settings or the new arcade mode it still feels very 'samey'.
personally i played the PC single player demo, and i gotta say, if its 5 hours of that, ill be a happy man!

sony invested millions in the machine and im yet to see some decend ads for it. this is a new IP so showing it off is the only way to get people interested in it, remember not many people follow games as closely as us!
all footage taken from a ps3 to! thats great, i hate CGI trailers, generally if the whole trailer is cut-scenes normally theres a reason for that, eg, actual games a let down!
first bunch i saw got me a little worried that it wasnt looking much better than Tekken 5 DR, but these new shoots have quenched those worries, it looks fantastic.
ps3 does 1080p... well done ps3.
i dont understand why this need to turn into another 360 Vs ps3 thread. if you want this buy it, regardless of which system you own, its gonna look great whatever, and most of you shouting and screaming probably dont even own 1080p TVs!
