I got real emotional at the end of Halo: Reach, as a story that I had experienced for a decade had gone full circle back to the start.
As for the article though? Poorly written, almost nonsensical at points. Still, seems to have sparked a good response.
Why do these reviews keep getting approved? There's been hundreds of BO2 and Halo 4 reviews. We know the scoop by now
What a load of utter crap. The whole thing is based on his own idiotic assumptions. This is barely even an article
nice little ray of light in a world of crap lol
I can safely say I disagree with nearly all of this review...
Well I enjoyed it. So there.
please, stop...
Excellent, really enjoyed that
Sloppy writing, poorly though-out points, badly instigated.
Why is tripe like this approved by the community?
Great news! I loved the series, right up until Pro Skater 4 after which they kind of lost their way
Not this again. It seems that the industry is just going to come under attack whenever the media get the slightest sniff of a connection, however meek it is.
And what was that in the article about 'alleged'?? He's admitted it was him. There's no alleged about it
What I'm wondering is why it's ok to have the sex and violence in the series, but not ok to have it in the game. It would surely cause another uproar and spearhead yet another attack on the industry.
As Baka-akaB says, they're integral to the story, and a game based on the books should surely take the same approach or the fans may well be disappointed.
Hehehe. Nail, meet head...
A few games have made the effort to offer extra things as rewards - cutscenes, avatar items and gamer pics spring to mind - and its really cool when they do. I agree that there should be more of this, and more inventivness. The current gen and certainly the next gen is ripe for this kind of reward system
MMO is the only suggestion? And this brave idea came about after only 25 hours in to his first ever Elder Scrolls game?
Report! Lame! lol
There is no difference between used and recycled. All this is is a cynical attempt to appear environmentally sensitive in a world where 'green' is the hottest buzz-word, and to try to convince modern shoppers that by purchasing 'recycled' games they are doing their bit for Mother Earth.
Ah the old Commodore 64...Barbarian, Dizzy, Creatures, classic games. I loved that machine. Loved the artwork in the article!
I seem to remember it had Bob Hoskins as Mario? Either him or some other roly-poly english actor
Two Worlds was another horrendous game that needs to be seen to be believed..
That was actually a very good article, though I'm not sure I agree with a couple of points.
I do however agree with the fact that, as games are capable of stirring emotions through visual impact and clever story telling, then they are also capable of stirring negative emotions and reactions. We all have ultimate responsibility to ourselves and our actons though, so the concept of 'blame' is a shoddy one.
And I dont think many retailers sell COD to...
