i agree partially with you. i mean i hated ashley and i LOVED the coop in RE5, still one of best coop games out imo. me and my gf beat it 4 times in a row. Now in order to make it scary it has to be single player i agree.

it doesnt change that spammers are cheap, example, a chunli spammer is a physical force field that damages you unless u spam projectiles, or u have iron mans or ryu's blasts, so spammable, if u jump over the attacks u fall into their trap, then ryu combos u, air combo, hurricane kick into shinku hadoken, half life gone even on lowest damage setting. game needs a barrier like blazblue or somethin

horrible combat, horrid animatiions, stiff gameplay. juust good story and skill system but doesnt help the terrible gameplay ugggh

good game but seriously destroyed by balance issues. the game needs a barrier like blazblue to stop chip damage because ryu's shinku hadoken from anywhere is cheap and combos from anything he does. on lowest damage setting he still kills dante with 2 combos :/
dark phoenix/Zero or wolverine powered up with X-factor means death to the whole team, and we all know about the spam characters.....bleh game is so good just needs balance!!!

honestly while the games have good story the battle system itself is horrible, HORRIBLE animations and just mash X, i mean i chose assassin and he slashes so fast without moving his feet and like 2 frames of animation per slash its just painful.
good story telling and levelin system doesnt save bad gameplay, guess i have to wait for witcher 2/skyrim and darksouls
game just isnt good, people call ninja gaiden and dmc hack and slash, when this game is the definition of the title, combined with button mashing. the animations are so stiff that it hurts.
story and such is good but what makes a good game is (GAME)play. its slightly better than DA:O but its the difference of a jagged sword or a short sword, one hurts more but they still both kill you

while in essence a rogue would be the best, the rogues have the worst choppiest and stiffist animations of them all with mage being the smoothest.
the stiff 2 frame animations kill the game for me, i will wait until DA:3 to see if combat gets better
