I think they've give Xbox their own metal gear game & they've their sights set firmly on developing metal gear 5 exclusively for playstation

I think you'll find that the money Xbox live or the whole Microsoft entertainment department of Microsoft makes doesn't take in even close to what their software department does.
Here's a link below of the income from various departments within Microsoft, the entertainment (Xbox etc) doesn't come close to the operating system & software side of things, this is from 2008 but I doubt the gap has shortened
