The Switch is a hybrid, but I see what you mean. I think the versatility of the Switch makes it appealing. You can play it as a home console or portable.

Once again we have someone who wants to try to bring down a positive story. The ps4 is a beast, no doubt. But, the Switch is no slotch either. But, that doesn't mean much to people who just hate on a product for nothing.
I am so happy for Nintendo! Oh my gosh. 4.8 million is great. I love my Switch so much and it brings a lot of smiles to my face. Congrats Nintendo for kicking butt. Games do matter!

@xX-oldboy-xX they lost the 7th gen. Did they learn? No, because selling over 85 million is still very good. Sony is not God. They can and will mess up. Thing is, will their fans notice or even care?
@xX-oldboy-xX (love that movie btw). Well, not really. Sony does have a style they mostly stick with (like Nintendo) a more dark, post modern look. Their games usually have an angsty protagonist and their games do not try to push innovation on game play. Are their games bad? No, (well Knack 2 sucked but Nintendo has not been perfect either). Sony knows what their fans want and they give it to them. But, Sony does not take risk and they don't do as varied of games that they used to.
Because other companies have great games as well. Not just Sony.
A lot of Sony fans on here are getting too cocky. Trends change and so does taste. Who knows what will happen on the future.
Innovation? What innovation? Also, don't underestimate any competitor. Sony has lost, they can lose again. No one is bullet proof. Not Nintendo, not Microsoft and not even Sony.
Sony has done great, no doubt. However, if they get cocky (like a lot of their fans do) Sony could get lazy and they could start to make a lot of mistakes. Healthy competition is good. Not just for the video games industry, but also Sony.
