Is a myth at the moment. Wind turbines don't work as it is innefficient, costs more resources than it creates (when its windy and is creating plenty of electricity the current plants have to be wound down. Most plants take up to 3 days to get back up to full capacity...which is both innefficient and costly). This actually pumps out higher emmissions in the long run and causes a dead weight loss in the economy.
Water turbines on the other hand are more stable. Especially wave ...
Its rubbish on mine too and mine is a pretty decent rig. MIGHT be ok on the very highest end....but it seriously looks like about fifa 2004 on my pc unless its zoomed up on a player.
I take it you havn't given the game a chance? Either that or you are pretty set in your ways and arn't willing to try something thats completely different to the "typical" games out there.
The bunch of Christian die hards. Anyone remember that Southpark episode where Cartman started a Christian rock band. They sucked but Christians still liked it :p Same thing would apply. If the game was really only a 6/10 game, the diehards would treat it like an 8/10 game.
The worst thing you could do to market a Christian game would be to be to high almighty about it. If a game was genuinely good, had Christian undertones (this includes all the old testament stuff I ment...
There is a huge market for it. And not just for Christians. Just think, the Old testament is one of the bloodiest killfests around. Filled with vengeance, false gods (and their worshipers), slavery, prostitutes, waring kingdoms etc. The new testament focuses on the life of Jesus, but there is still the same issues in the world, in fact there is a whole race of people being ruled by the roman empire who often ruled by cruel leaders.
If developers went to the effort there are ...
Of course you try and find flaws. At the moment the null hypothesis (based on other sites reviews) is that the game is great. To reject this hypothesis you have to find flaws in the game. If you can't find flaws then you can't reject the opinions of the community as a whole. Its a lot better than just saying "I just didn't really like the game and thought it should only have gotten a 6"
Yeah...I thought it was great too. TheGo gave it a 9.5 as well. I only just finished playing it. Its a game that really makes you want the developers to hurry up and make the next one. The ending isn't BAD....it just leaves you saying "crap...don't finish now...I want to keep playing"
Assassins Creed 2 has a heap of potential. Just like the first one. However lets hope they have learnt their lesson. It just wasn't quite up to scratch. Just wasn't overly fun after the first 5 hrs. Expecting big things from Bayonetta.
I thought inFamous was just that...a fun game...but there was too much that missed the mark to make it a truly good game. I look forward to a possible sequel or another game by sucker punch as they showed a fair bit of talent
Killzone 2 is worth a shout.
Forza 3 pulls up short imo, but im a Gran Tourismo fan..might just be bias
Demon's Souls is very good, but possibly not great. Havn't given it a big enough chance yet. It seems to only appeal to a certain type of gamer
Brutal Legend we are reviewing next up, will find out
Modern Warfare 2 is likely to be amazing as well
I don't think he was taking GOTY editions into account
Halo ODS...
It actually just got bumped up another .5 points. It does put it up there in the elite games that come out on a certain system in a particular year. Near perfect, but not quite there.
Too many reviews out there give 6-10. Thats it. How is that meant to really give you an idea of what is actually good or not. You might as well just have a scale of 1-3 as a 10/10 is rarely given either. The fact that the game only seems to appeal to the realistic military buffs who can get over the numerous bugs and shortcomings of the game to me says that the game isn't all that great.
Is games that DO have a lot of potential...like Operation Flashpoint, but due to various reasons the game is polished off properly and is left as a shell of what it could be. If a game is going to be a realistic military sim then you HAVE to put the extra effort in to polish it. That may mean the publishers have to give a bit of leeway when it comes to deadlines, but you can't release a game like this and expect it to be "complete." The review gave it such a low rating because, j...
Just warning people that it isn't a simple walk in the park. It is challenging, but thats a good thing! The game wasn't rated down because it was too hard. Although it CAN be frustrating at times.
Piranha Bytes have split with their publisher, JoWood, who retain some rights to the Gothic franchise. Its a bit of a messy situation and just wasn't quite researched quite well enough, or the writer possibly didn't communicate what he meant properly.
Usually I save up for the games I know i want and then there are the occasional times where I go "I have a bit of extra cash....i'll try something random". Those days are over for me this year. Laid off for one of my part time jobs so only have a few hours of work a week to earn money (i'm a student)
Good shout out on that though. I think its a disgrace that its not in place at all. I guess it hasn't been put in place because the old gaming system (N64, playstation etc) were built to last. Hell...I still have an old nintendo which has has 20x more hours than my ps3...and this is the 2nd ps3 because its already broken down.
