No it does not have multiplayer, but it does have exclusive cases and pre-order bonus items that I would love to use on day 1.

I think everyone here is being fickle. This is going to be a gradual incline of a launch. What's going to sell this system is word of mouth. Friends are going to show it to friends and the friends are going to be amazed and buy one themselves and so on. You have to hold it in your hand and experience it to really know what it's like. it's for people that store a lot of media on thier ps3. Like me, I have a whole library of tv shows and anime i would love on my ps3. But, I would need a least a 2 TB hard drive in it to take it all.
I would be disappointed if the game didn't create controversy. It's FREAKING Mortal Kombat! It invented video game controversy.
Take a look at their ghost recon game. That should give you an idea of what this will look like. Complete garbage visuals. So far, I'm getting SSFIV and Pilot wings resort (best implementation of 3D). Other than those, thats pretty much it for day 1.
