Wasted my time reading that article. Fortunately, I don't have that problem and I've had almost every console since the Atari 2600. Worst purchase so far is the Wii U for my son. That things just sits in the corner of the tv stand collecting dust behind his 360 and PS3. Telling people these days to just enjoy the games is a waste of time. No chance. I think the DRM will slowly come back to MS original plan. If you can easily remove it with software update it can just as easily be re-implemented incrementally over time to return it to their original vision.
Sony might do the same thing but their conversation started with games and not everything else the system was capable of.
