Square Enix could make a deal where they get a kickback for each one sold. They should do that for fans who are good enough of their craft to pull this off. They probably would be sold for less than a AAA title and would be just as or even more fun.

Lol the Modern Era. Nothing was wrong with the original game’s version of it. Every video game company needs to do what Iron Maiden does to prevent scalpers from grabbing their tickets. Any company can take efforts to make sure fans are the primary purchasers of their content, they just don't care. Avatar is a great investment because it sells in a similar fashion that Budweiser does to the beer industry: a lot. It might be pisswater in terms of content, but since it appeals to the mass market (Money doesn't lie), it's a wise business decision on their part.

Why can’t the rest of Sony’s games make the PS5 the base console and dumb down the graphics for PS4 instead of the other way around? If they did that, they literally could have their cake and eat it too giving PS5 folks native games and make money from PS4 still.
