It's too bad the gamepad was released on a lack luster/under powered, terribly marketed with no games system.
I love Nintendo, but why buy the Wii U? Mario U isn't enough for me.
I don't see any reason to upgrade from Wii, if only there was some type of chart to show me the advantages to upgrading...

I will never understand the love for Socom 2. It was by far the worst in the Socom ps2 series, IMO. Socom 1 & 3 blew 2 out of the water. The hit detection in Socom 2 was a joke, players would take full clips in their back, turn around and hit you twice and you would die.
If their console blocks used games and always needs to be online they're probably trying to figure how the hell they're going to announce said features without the Internet asploding.
If they announce it too soon people will have too much time to dissect it and consider the PS4 instead. But the longer they take to announce it the more Sony benifits from no next gen publicity competition.
They have them self in quite the perdicament.

Simple, release games.
Without the power of the incoming consoles the Wii U will be largely over looked by third parties. Another Nintendo console basically only supported by a few Nintendo first party releases a year.
They really screwed up on the timing of the console and performance/power.

Not even close. Games just don't have that power yet, that suspension of disbelief where I really lose myself in the character or loss of one. I lose myself in the games, but not the characters.
The quality of the story telling isn't there yet, games need better/professional writers. I hope the new tech can properly portray human emotion for me to care when they're lost.

I was really looking forward to 1080p visuals on the PS4.
I wouldn't expect a lot of third party support, especially after the PS4 & 720 are released. The Wii U will be much like the Wii, good first party support and not much third.

Maybe on PC, certainly not on the PS3. While it looks good, especially considering what is going on in the game, it has some terrible textures, insane draw in and major jaggies. I love it, but it tends to be more on the ugly side.
Killzone 2 is still the best looking online PS3 game, IMO.
