Obviously.. same hardware specs on both consoles, mostly the same games exepct for exclusives, mostly the same consumer group. BUT they do not compete.

We actually don't know what SSD prices will look like by the end of 2020, the pries of bigger drives are still going down. I bet the current prototypes have max 1TB of SSD drive space but when they get the final design down and begin production next year, they might have a 2TB option for the same price as the current 1TB price. Those are just speculations but it could definetly happen.

I don't know how this website could publish this as an article, it's obviously the guy's hard drive that is failing or his OS that is corrupt, why would anyone write an article about that and call MHW:Iceborne a disaster ? Juste replace your hard drive for like 50$ and move on or even better, get an SSD or SSHD and you can call it an upgrade ;)

Lol, what ? I don't know how you count thing but I do agree with Agent_00_Revan, it is way cheaper than buying a Raspberry Pi.

I just bought myself a PSone Classic, you can simply download some software to USB and you have an emulator for more PS1 games and like a dozen or more other consoles. Here's what it cost me :

PSone Classic : 25$ (two controllers included, HDMI cable included, great PS1 replicate casing included)

It seems to me like the PS3 was some kind of "trojan horse" to make Blu-Ray win against HD-DVD and that Sony was "happy" to be at loss on the Playstation side if it could help their investments in Blu-Ray technology on the entertainment side of the business. The PS3 was the main reason for the Blu-Ray adoption, the PS3 was available at around 500$ while the cheapest Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players were over 1k$.

It would have been interresting to have the real numbers in the article.. It says what the predictions were but nowhere does it say what the actual numbers were. Also, it would be useful to have more that 2 or 3 analyst previsions, there are certainly more than this.

Something nice I just found out is that when a Blu-Ray movie is inserted, it now shows the title with a thumbnail of that movie instead of just showing "Blu-Ray Disc". It is beginning to take back more and more features it had taken away from the PS3.

I don't think the PS4's UI is called XMB. I tought XMB meant "cross media bar" and was referring to the PS3's UI because its menus form a "cross". Am I right ?

@ Ultranova : Let me defend digital games just a little.

Physical(discs):

"You actually own something, you can re-sell it and off-set some of the initial cost."

That's true but I usualy keep my games because of the very low price I can get by selling them. I do agree that you are stuck with the game if you don't like it when it is digital but at least Steam has some new policies for refunds and I don't know about PSN'...

For long term usage, 1TB might be a little tight if you buy most of your AAA titles on the PS Network. For most average users, it should last many years. You can go with 2TB if you want to be 100% certain but I think it should take a while to fill 1TB. Like ZombieKiller said, if you want to change your drive, any laptop (2.5") drive will do.

Exactly what I did. I swapped my hdd for a 1TB SSHD the day I got my PS4. These hybrid drives are very cheap (it cost me Under 100$). I really don't understand this website trying to sell install kits. It's probably for the people moving from Xbox to Playstation who are used to proprietary hard drive kits from Microsoft and are not aware that Sony lets its users chose the hard drive they want :)

There is one screw to remode aside from the ones holding the drive in the...

There's a project called CorsixTH that is in the process of remaking the whole game with high resolution graphics. There are betas available and I can't wait to play the final version, that game was amazing! :)

As someone noted, that screen was probably from something that was meant to be shown on the PS Vita at first but got to the PS3 by mistake.

not only did it make it through approval, but it is in the top news :O Please N4G, do something!

What's that! There is nothing special about this quest our anything surrounding it! Why is this even appearing on N4G and even Aproved??!

@Unknow_Master

What if it sells more consoles ? Sony is hardly making any money with the PS3 hardware, it all comes from software sales. Those buying the PS3 for piracy won't do any good for sony even if they do buy the system just to play pirated games.

He's probably talking about the original theme that comes installed by default on all the PS3s
