I don't think Haze was overhype. Only Hype on the internet and people that are into the gaming scene.
I asked my brother in law and my Nephew if they knew Killzone 2 they never heard of it and yet they game every week-end. The other day i picked up Haze for 10$ and they both told me they never heard of it.

If someone keep winning and now is losing this will make first page on the sports channel or anywhere and it gets people to talk about it.
Example last year : Tiger Wood loosing streak ..
And if you follow NHL, the stanley cups that was won by Pittsburgh is the perfect example.
Detroit won the cup so many time and also won it last year those same against Pittsburgh, Obviously...

2007 - 360 by a long shot.
2008 - this one is hard , 360 sold well , ps3 had better games.
2009 - ps3 and its not even close. (let be serious here)
2010 - No one really knows, there is always title that can come out of nowhere and change everything. But the year looks good. :)
