he is right.
you can tell right from the begining it has a lot better colors and shading. The older one is brighter and doesnt have as rich of colors as this one does. And it just looks better like that too.
I Almost 100% believe that this is real or at least a way to advertise or promote the release of the PS3 Slim. Im sure Sony has been working on this thing for a while now and is one of their final attempts to bring back the PLAYSTATION BRAND. Along with there incoming exclusives like GOWIII and Uncharted 2. Oh and also bet there will be bundles with those exclucives. Now im not really a person who would know this stuff for fact but i am sure Sony knows what they are doing.
I think its just going to be a Hugely awesome new series for the PS3 only
