I can respect that Dead Sun was being developed as a spin-off, but everything I read and watched just didn't feel like Legacy of Kain...
This series should be given to a competent development team who deeply respects the lore and its fans. Remaking Blood Omen would be a good start in order to generate interest in this sorely-missed franchise.
The reason for creating Nosgoth may have been to once again generate interest in the Legacy of Kain franchise, but this might have caused the company to shelve the series altogether.
In my opinion, they (or another developer if the rights are sold) should remake the original Blood Omen so that the series can leave its mark on the modern gaming community, whilst also satisfying its multitude of fans if done right.
I really don't enjoy the settlement building aspect and never even liked the look and idea of it when it was shown at E3.
It's great that players have warmed to it and are craving more, but it feels very tacked-on and is not the progression I had hoped for the Fallout franchise.
Where is the deep, thought-provoking dialogue and wholly engrossing story? There is barely any scenarios where diplomacy can be used and no matter what choices you make, your mark is never real...
In my opinion, Fallout 4 doesn't deserve Game of the Year. It's a good game but it's not wholly engrossing like Fallout 3 or as deep as New Vegas.
The best thing about Fallout 3 is that there wasn't really anything quite like it at the time and Bethesda did a great job and had players hooked.
Fans waited impatiently for Fallout 4 and I feel as though the ball was dropped and I've been a fan of Fallout since the original on PC.
To me, Bethesda played...
I think Kratos looks the part within Greek mythology, but perhaps not for Norse. They have an opportunity to do something great with the next God of War in terms of story and character development because let's face it, Kratos is very one dimensional. We could see a parallel universe of sorts where Kratos was of Nordic descent rather than Greek.
I think it depends on which way you portray Superman and what kind of world you put him in. Will it be a darker, more realistic take on the character or will it be inspired by the comics? Either way, pitching a Superman game is a hard task due to the immense power the hero has.
He could be a less experienced and perhaps weaker Superman due to his age, but who will he be fighting and how does his foes manage to inflict damage on the Man of Steel without them being remnants from Krypton...
I spent a huge amount of money on my Sony Bravia just last year and I really don't want to sell it and get a 4K TV already because if this is true, I will most likely buy a more powerful PS4 but I think people's concerns are mainly focused on whether a new model would receive development priority and exclusive features and games, which I highly doubt!
£4.99 would have been the sweet-spot in my opinion. Luckily, the season pass was bought for me. However, despite appreciating the armour and weapon modding, I really don't enjoy the settlement crafting and simply cannot play a Bethesda RPG with companions, so I feel as though Automatron is wasted on me, not to mention Wasteland Workshop...
I'm hoping that Far Harbor brings a complex storyline packed with interesting dialogue, memorable characters and interesting quests, r...
There's not enough in Automatron besides the robot crafting to warrant its £7.99 price tag. As with The Phantom Pain, it's a very good game but not a great Metal Gear Solid; the same applies to Fallout 4!
I never got the chance to play Bully, but I loved Manhunt! I do think these prices are a bit steep, even with the addition of trophies etc. £4.99 would really be the sweet-spot for me!
It's great that many fans enjoy the new crafting systems and although I like weapon and armour customisation, the settlement building never grabbed my attention and I would gladly replace it with better dialogue options and variety in how to deal with situations other than violence; diplomacy for example. I do feel that Bethesda dropped the ball on this one.
Has anyone already completed all of what Automatron has to offer?
I read that it's only around four-hours of content, which isn't so much a big deal for me as I had the season-pass bought for me, but for £7.99 I think that's pretty lacklustre if true especially as not everyone likes to roam with companions.
Finally! I've been waiting for this to release before I delve back into Fallout 4. I downloaded Automatron already and I'm itching to play it!
Bring on Diablo 4!
@Khaotic,
Can you elaborate please? I know about Pheonix Credits and Exotic Loot, but I also heard that each area in the Dark Zone becomes tailored to your level; is this true?
I really hope the DLC adds Dark Zone events/missions and an expansion into the Central Park area!
This, in addition to deciding against another yearly Assassin's Creed title, is a step in the right direction for Ubisoft.
I've never enjoyed companions in games, especially Fallout, so a big part of this DLC sadly isn't for me. Besides, I'm waiting for the revamped survival mode before I jump back into Fallout!
I completely agree. Dead Sun actually reminds me allot of Shadow of Mordor! I'd kill for a Blood Omen remake...
I really enjoyed Dark Souls 2 but I just didn't like the enemy and level design.
