I agree that these are great games, relatively quick plays too. Probably around 10 hours each.

Thinking about it a little further, you may be right, I think I subconsciously was looking at more of a perspective that so many people have so much experience at this game and it is taken very seriously by a lot of people. There is a lot to be learned about each character's personality and fighting style, which could take some time, techniques like crossovers and other combos.
I do love that it is not a button mash game though, what kind of fun would that be if there were no ski...
I think that would be great if games started moving into the browser. (minimizes window as manager approaches)
I have to say, I totally love the new Street Fighter IV but I can see some validity in his original comments. It isn't very newb friendly, but I don't think it is intended to be, fighting games should be about skill though, not button mashing in my opinion. Button mashing is fun for 10 minutes but skill development can go on forever.
I'm still awaiting Faxanadu. I'm shocked its not even on virtual console.
