I agree, these fanboys are ridiculous. The game is just padding out areas that used to be just two screens to now be 6 and then to try and change the story just because nomura likes to subvert expectations. This just reminds of when they tried to "remake" total recall.

No those were actual remakes because they told the same story, well RE3 is barely a remake, this is not a remake since it's not retelling the exact story, it's either a reimagineing or how I like to call it, shit.
I feel the same, this is a bastardization of the original. The main problem with going back to these games is the creators aren't always fans of their work, hence nomura, the guy that made kingdom hearts story a mess because he likes to subvert expectations. This remake is horrible and is going to be even worse as it goes on. I was geeking anytime they followed the actual story but the time ghosts and sephiroth early, not to mention just making something that was 2 screens in the original 6 screens in this one. The only thing they added that was nice was more backstory for jessie, wedge, and biggs and wall market but that was about it.

I would love to see this or code veronica redone next. I've heard rumors it's going to be resident evil 4 though. which is cool but out of their games that one still holds up so I'd like to have them remake something older.

Yea cuz that's what I want to do, open up my fucking controller to just replace a battery or with xbox I buy a new play and charge kit or use batteries. More choice and flexibility is a good thing, but keep telling me how awesome sony is. Also sony uses cheap plastic that can give some people allergic reactions in the form of blister like sores, and they have a shit battery as well.
Was gonna say the same, people need to remove their nostalgia googles and actually look. It can be a fun game and I geeked when it followed the story, but the quests are BS for a jrpg, the story was altered to some stupid nomura look at me I'm deep crap, and the battle engine seems fine until the want you to do some devil may cry type of dodging when it's not made for that. Very very disappointed in this one, maybe it's because I love the original so much.
