Well, the generalisation was my mistake, but I believe It's not that far away from the truth, on n4g and other forums some fans were saying to "wait for E3", so I found it kinda funny that the autor is now saying that it doesn't change a thing. That's kinda like sony saying the move is not a rip off of the wii mote but an improvement or microsoft saying gamers will love always-online.
About the article it is true that you are competing for atention but that's...
So, Nintendo fans have been saying for months that E3 will change everything for nintendo and bring the wii u back to the gaming race, then it suddenly doesn't matter if nintendo skips E3, that it's just money spending, takes away time from devs and the nintendo direct will achieve the same ending.
I was expecting a big show from nintendo, but now I don't know what to think.
Yet the website isn't showing the full context, ps3 wasn't released worldwide and the original xbox wasn't a huge success so maybe the initial sales weren't as good. There's also the fact that gaming wasn't really that mainstream and gamers still were considered weirdos.
It was the wii that made gaming popular and an acceptable hobby, so if nintendo wants the wii u to succeed they just have to show, not announce, more games.
They also forgot about Portable Ops.
Murdering children in games is too much, I'm also against rape in any form of media but since movies don't have any problems with that, then I don't know what to think.
It's getting really popular to hate bioshock infinite, maybe it didn't live up to the hype, maybe it's not as good as bioshock, but the people saying it's an average game or the story being garbage are simply being ridiculous.
Bioshock infinite may not be as good as the original, yet it's still a great game and I believe combat is better than in Bioshock, although Bioshock had you planning strategies before every big daddy fight.
@GetSnooked
People buy the xbox to play games, that's why if the rumors about it being always online are true (I don't think it will) and something goes wrong, you won't be able to play games.
It's because people assume bad things will happen that they don't want it to be always online.
I've been in a slaughterhouse on kill day and was shown the entire process when I was 15, it wasn't a big deal but there's a lot more blood in the floor than in any game I've played, although not as much s$#t as in some games.
I went to burger king after that.
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed is the king. The game's decent but unlike demon's souls where each death was my fault, in zombiu most of my deaths were due to the clunkiness of the game. The devs said it was intended but I don't think so.
Maybe if they had invested more time this game would have been great.
Well, imagine there's no violence in fallout or bioshock, then what would you do in the game?, would you rather all games be stealth games or interactive adventures?, or is it ok if the violence is presented in a non violent way?, like killing in a merciful way or only when necessary.
Violence is not always needed but in the world of bioshock is the only thing that keeps the main character alive, so how is it wrong for the game to have violence in it?
Except a game owner can't kill someone with the game. I'm not against people owning a weapon yet I don't see the need to have an assault rifles or shotguns.
I actually liked the fact that she yells at them cause I also did, it's so nice watching the scared little girl turning into a badass.
The 3DS started to sell well because of the price drop, a lot of gamers thought the 3DS was overpriced and waited for a price drop, maybe the same is happening to the wii u.
I know I'm gonna buy one if it includes a game and costs $250. Aside from that I think the wii u will do just fine, maybe it won't win this generation but they still have a lot of money on the bank.
Maybe the Rising Phoenix game is going to be about abstergo resurrecting Desmond and then the abstergo employee is actually going to be Desmond with no memory.
Alone in the dark. It's supposed to be the improved version of the game yet it sucked.
Add Ninja Theory to the list.
Funny, I don't think epic mickey should have been made, and yet even a sequel came out.
And "I want content that is relevant to my life, that is relevant to me, that is set in the real world...", seriously?
When I was playing Heavy Rain my mother was sitting next to me talking on the phone, after an hour I noticed she was still there and looking at the screen, then she asked me if I was going to keep playing cause she was very interested in the story. The same happened to my brother.
After buying TWD I told her I was going to play a game like Heavy Rain, but we got bored after an hour or so. I still kept playing but basically it was just because I paid for it.
Halo 3, finished the campaing over 30 times and spend 6-8 hrs of multiplayer every day for 8 months, got all the way to Commander.
