How long was the original Bioshock? It was pretty linear and no one complained about the campaign length of that. Dishonored, in my opinion, is Bioshock in a different setting with different enemies. And that's not a bad thing. Bioshock sucked you in with it's story, interesting characters and awesome game mechanics. The game mechanics are there. If Dishonored can create a compelling storyline then I think people will look past the short champaign.
People are too en...
Anyone think of Tic Tacs when Leon popped the herb?
I think 15 minutes without shooting a single bullet is a little extreme; especially since we've all seen this unfold already (and I'm sure we'll see it yet again, come demo time). It's really only entertaining for the player once.
I remember the golden era, RE2 and 3, when the second that intro cutscene was over, you were tossed into the fray. No tutorial. No time to get your bearings. Just zo...
In an interview, the dev said that you can still play in a single player mode without the other character playing along side of you. The co-op mode is sorta like what Multiplayer was to DS2; an additional and optional mode. I speculate this other guy is just a figment of Isaac's imagination anyway. So even though the game may have become a Gears clone, at least you don't have to deal with idiotic friendly AI.
Anyone happen to notice that the Pierce guy is a lefty? = p Good for Capcom. Not many games acknowledge the south paws.
Capcom is basically plugging horror as "fearing for your life." If this was real life, yeah I'd be terrified if mutated people with guns were chasing me. But this is a video game; and gamers have guidelines of what defines "survival horror." If we considered fearing for our lives in video games as "horror," then the majority of games on the market would then be survival horror.
However, feel like the "survival" aspect could still cr...
It's very hard to bring scares to the table when you have a friend along for the ride. However, we live in a world that desires multiplayer; which, I'll whole-heartedly admit, does increases the replay value of games. But with multiplayer, all those "jump" scares that define "horror" genres are essentially moot. You have this security blanket that ensures you that if shit hits the fan, there's another person you can latch-on to.
I feel like th...
I'm all for Leon and company taking a few gymnastic classes to contend with more nimble zombies. But I also wouldn't mind a little more scarcity with the ammo so you can't necessarily clear out every last enemy in the area. But if we must kill every last enemy, Capcom should take a page from Dead Space 2's book. It was fast-paced action but you definitely had to make your shots count.
As for puzzles, it's unfortunate but the majority of video game players ...
How about revealing some more pictures of the game? More shots of the coat won't make that $1,300 pricetag any less ridiculous.
What he said.
