I love how Valve constantly support their titles. No other developer (Excluding MMO devs) can say they support their game as much as valve support their games, CS:S still gets updated!
I love the concept and the TF style select a class and so many improvements have been made to id tech 4, I love the lighting in this game, there's hardly any analogy to the original id tech 4. Good job, Splash Damage.
Why would you take Epic for granted? They promise. They deliver. With Gears 2 the focused on SP as opposed to MP, clearly. I'd say now they might balance the 2. Remember guys, UT is one of the greatest MP experiences ever so don't think they can't do the same with Gears.

To be honest, I was fairly surprised at Gears 2 MP, Epic Have a track record of making the most intense, fun, competitive and not to mention INSANE MP as we see with UT.
Gears was buggy and lacked a lot of the core elements that made their previous multiplayer masterpieces a hit. I'll take gears word on their Gears MP update, only because they make great PC games :D.
Epic Games should sell MS the Gears Title and stop developing for it.
Well you know if CryTek wanted to showcase their 'amazing' new engine, then this was a stupid decision. It frankly, makes Yerli look a bit mad in the head, surely they would want to show case the engine to it's maximum potential.
I'm going to stick with Epic for the time being, anyone can create a great game using the Unreal Engine, but CryEngine 2 to be honest seemed to be only visually good when there was lots of foliage and also it seems that mods for Crysis didn't look as goo...

I wouldn't go to the extreme of calling it sexist, yet it's slightly stereotypical and in my opinion to be honest, FF does seem to have a more feminine side to it than ODST. Don't get me wrong I'd rather play "Barbie as the Island Princess" than ODST - just because I hate Halo, I wouldn't get offended though if someone assumed I'd prefer ODST.

In all respect. I know - maybe PC gaming isn't for you. It's expensive,tiresome and some migh find it 'awkward'. If your looking for online features then the PC has everything your looking for. The PS3 and X360 have nothing compared to us. Think about it if you'd a spent some dosh on your PC it would be FAR better than ANYTHING for gaming...
Not really much point to this;It's been done before.
If you have Vista - I recommend you upgrade. This is much better for gaming and will increase your fps by at least 10 - 20%.
I think they got a lot less creative and innovative after NFS: Most Wanted; It's a racing sim of which every year the only even minor update is the car list and graphics. They were lucky to get this far.
Oh and I forgot to mention it gets a new map every year to which portray a subtle remembrance to the previous map.

Remedy is a small group, they did well and to be honest people were expecting the game to be perfect. No game will ever come close to perfect. They used no middleware(exception of Havok), all tech was built in-house, no speedtree or anything. The graphics are exceptional for a in-house engine too, I would say on par or better than the glorious UE3.
