and still have the notion that video games are something other than art. It was that arrogant prick, you know the movie reviewer (Ebert?) who said that video games can never be an art form. How pretentious can you be? Especially considering the fact that movies were once also considered to be a non-art form (so to speak) when Hollywood was still in it's infancy. "Art" is evolving, and it is no longer simply viewed, but interacted with. Anyway, I digress; this game sounds to be beyon...

And no, simply writing lol or haha wouldn't suffice

Looking down, maybe I'm wrong...

Then yes Okami is a buy, especially because, in my opinion, it offers so much more. I did however feel that it dragged on for a bit (it's a huge game) but there are a lot of redeeming qualities.

This game has allowed me to keep faith in Sony's third console during the time when the whole world was seemingly on it's case. Shadow of the Colossus and all games done in this manner are part of Sony's legacy, and will hopefully be remembered long after videogames are no longer relevant. They go way above and beyond the ridiculously trite dialogue and boring textures that exist in all these games trying to mimic hollywood (gears of war, halo, uncharted) and instead pave their own path. It t...

The seemingly random (for lack of a better word) particles where Snake's legs are are actually characters in the game. For example, I recognize one of the bosses (the Mantis I believe) positioned over the O in "Solid." Wonder if there are any other yet unreleased secrets hidden away in that mess.

Those good old days when the "good" games didn't pathetically mimic Hollywood, and were original in all the ways that they are not today(for the most part)

Maybe you should be Solid Snake...

However I do feel that this masterpiece of a gaming saga should not be made into a live action movie... Why should it, it already comes across as a movie, and then some! It's best to keep this one untouched and untainted.

you can change something aesthetically, but the original "core" always lingers on, an "undying shadow in a world of lights"->(anyone know where thats from??). Oh, and these are just general thoughts on life...nothing specific.

i think at this point in the timeline, they have made clones of snake, i mean they have to right? so at various parts you will be playing with clones...remember that video from long ago with a younger looking snake, thats the clone. And in mgs 1, when grey fox (ninja) sacrifices himself to save snake, they're gonna flip that and make snake save raiden (the new ninja) btw i'm Hideo Kojima

is a clone of big boss, who you play in mgs3:snake eater, which, along with a sizeable chunk of mgs2, are the only games you don't play with solid snake. every other game, he is the main character.

but yeah kinda to start a war...did anyone read that bit on Mass Effect, and how it can generally be a better game on ps3 because of blu-ray? i like the sound of that

I've always enjoyed the fact that the MGS series has never sold as much as say the ("competition") Halo series for the fact that it makes it that much more unique, a rare gem if you will, that few people know about let alone understand. And to be perfectly honest, if history and video game sales have taught us anything, its that the best games, the ones filled with meaningful allegory, replay value, and great art direction (not just filled to the brim with textures) are the ones tha...

awww man you didn't like chrono cross? I thought it was great how they managed to make a completely different game, but still kept elements from the past one (crono, lucca, marle making an apearance etc.) The fighting system also has to be one of the best in a jrpg. And don't even get me started on the music...the song that plays on the world map in Another World...amazing

is that the developers didn't see any of that big revenue that they so rightly deserve. thank god there are people who love games so much, and are willing to work on them simply for the non-monetary enjoyment they receive.
i agree with you bill, money does make the world go round, but in the specific case of developers and video games, they don't see any thing close to the amount of revenue the "suits" see, and so therefore (the developers) are simply content working in a ca...
