The multiple servers associated with KZ are regional, so the 1000-2000 gamers you see are in YOUR region, other regions have the same amount of different gamers. there are lots playing KZ, and if cod or bf have more.. so be it. It doesnt mean KZ is irrelevent as a shooter just more "niche" imho.
Its hard for me to describe how satifying KS:SF multiplayer is for me. I love the gameplay, maps, lighting, sound.. great game! I dont understand sites that recently state that Infamous ss is the first AAA title for the ps4. Killzone SF is BOSS!
Im pretty sure the region you live in dictates the player count.I play every day and have been in arena rooms with close to 3 thousand at times, with no empty arenas. But off peak times are more sparse, but I still have no issues. It seems to me to be getting more popular.
Ive been on the MP daily since beating the SP. Once your custom class abilities are up and strong, MP is an absolute blast!
I liked Killzone 1 alot, but Killzone 2 did it for me! I really wasn't into fps titles till that game. I am having a blast with Shadowfall MP and the new free dlc maps are BOSS! I play other shooters now but Killzone is great.
A violent movie director has commented on games and said something to the effect, "I watched violent movies growing up, all they did to me was make me a violent movie maker, not a violent person." Ultimately it's the parents responsibility to control conted to their chidren.

Im closing in on my platinum trophy for SS, and I am enjoying it greatly! I first played it on the PS3, then installed it on my Vita. Then I noticed that the game says "headphones recommended" at the loading screen, so I put on some good headphones and was blown away at the awesome soundtract! The experience on the vita with some bass heavy, good phones is truly the way this game was meant to be played!
Second Son is technically amazing for an open world title!
It is another true showcase for a "next-gen" game. The new free maps on Killzone SF are absolutely breathtaking too!

I agreee dale1. Some have said that the mechs in Killzone could be a stand alone hit itself! They were(are) a blast to play, and the controls, sound effects and visuals are spot on too.
If this article writer is implying Infamous second son and Killzone Shadowfall(it was mentioned in the article), are not "good" games, I disagree.
Killzone SF has regional servers, so the player count you see is for YOUR region. There are plenty playing this superb game, and more adding everyday.
