While all of those points still exist today. The $599 price point hasn't existed for 3 years. Coincidentally, every PS3 purchased 3 years ago(2006-2008) still have PS2 backwards compatibility.

There was nothing in the MotorStorm trailer that didn't happen in the actual game.

Portal 2 is not "just about the same" as Portal 1. It is like 8 hours long. Longer than most 2 hour-long $60 games he plays. So GTFO.

But despite that issue, it's still a pretty great and solid system with multimedia and networking capabilities, plus lots of great games.

Honestly, I think we all know where the Xbox would(or wouldn't) be if it wasn't for that ONE game.
Halo truly was something special on the Xbox. Not just because it was the only game, but also because it was good. It was truly something for the Xbox-exclusive crowed.
Unfortunately, now that it's name is more...out there, it just doesn't hold up the same it used to among multiple other good games.
