Visual Features More Important Than Resolution:
1. A well-conceived, unified aesthetic
2. Quality of character animation (facial and body)
3. A smooth and steady 60 frames-per-second experience
4. Image quality (i.e. anti-aliasing)
Feel free to add to this list.
This is honestly my most anticipated game of the year. From the old-school, turn-based RPG combat to the way it nails the look and feel of the show, I'm calling it right now: Game of the Year 2014.
Been there, done that. New IP, please.
If I had no interest in the game I would ignore it. Besides, who buys a car based on looks without first test driving it?
I'll be hyped once I see actual gameplay that takes place outside of an alleyway.
Not when Sony is footing the bill, they don't.
Let's hope Metroid isn't one of the IPs Nintendo will be loaning out to third parties.
I soooooooooo want this.
Between H:M, and Shadow Warrior, Devolver Digital are quickly becoming my favorite publisher.
I'd be happy if he'd just fuck off, period.
@Bigpappy
I'm sorry, did you just suggest that the GOVERNMENT take over the INTERNET? The last bastion of free, uncensored expression????
Do you ever watch the news, son?
No tacked-on multiplayer? Day-one buy.
So how bad would Infamous have to be downgraded in order to achieve a consistent 60 fps or The Order: 1886? Right now that game is struggling to do 30 fps @ 800p.
Don't give any bull about black bars being an "artistic decision", either. These consoles aren't even out of their diapers yet and already developers are having to make tradeoffs in order to make their game playable.
Ouch.
Why???
"More recently Thief was announced to be running at 900p on Xbone..."
My, what professionalism.
This first caught my eye during a Steam sale and I couldn't resist.
Shadow Warrior was an unexpected treat last year for PC gamers. I may go ahead and get it for PS4 anyway just to support these guys.
GoTY contender?
Who else here has been gaming long enough to remember when paying $50 got you the WHOLE game? No left-out content sold as DLC, disc-locked content, season passes, outfits, avatars, etc.
Excuse me, I need to go have a cry at what has happened to my beloved hobby.
Gone Home is an overhyped, overpraised, overpriced piece of filth.
