Did you even read the article?
I wouldn't mind if it was made into an integral part for some games. I just hope that it wouldnt inhibit game play.
I don't think it has anything to do with manufacturing issues. However, I do think it may have something to do with the optimization of language recognition from different countries and regions.
I'm sure programming something to recognize the differences between two accents from the same language is difficult enough. Let alone, programming for completely different languages.
If there does end up being a problem and they way till the last minute to get approval, it could be disastrous to the launch of the console.
Not saying that it will happen, but think about it... if the FCC says its a no-go for the US until they fix something they have to go fix it before they sell it here. If they wait that long there will practically be no reaction time.
I thought FCC records were public records?
You can request to see anything you want through the Freedom of Information Act.
Completely agree. If there is a problem with the system I would like to know.
Enough of the marketing mumbo jumbo.
So, if it hasn't received an FCC approval... doesn't that worry people?
I thought companies aren't allowed to mass produce products before they are approved. With the launch getting closer.. lord knows if they will have enough units to launch by November 8th.
Has the Xbox One even passed for FCC approval yet?
Exactly, there is no reason to remove the Kinect. If you don't like it you don't have to have it.
I am indifferent with my console preference, but I like that if I get the Xbox One I will always have the option to play Kinect games and use its features if I want to.
Well in certain scenerios as the one you're in I can see what you mean in terms of gaming. However, have you thought about how it would make your life easier?
If you have imitations of movement wouldn't it be easy to say "Xbox On" or "off", launch titles and do other actions from your couch instead of having to get up every time you want to access the controller?
This is true, there are people who will use it and people who wont. However, in order to ensure that there are features for those who actually do use it there has to be a strong user base in order to create developer incentive.
Definitely excited for this!
