I think the author makes a good point. I don't mind paying more for portable games IF they're more like console games in terms of quality. I don't want to pay more though for just more of the same old.
Who needs Jordan? Toss in Spud Webb as playable for the dunk contest.
I think MJ's their only chance. They'll have to turn NBA2K12 into a minor league baseball sim and recreate his time in the ChiSox farm system.
How could anything ever top the realism of Wii Tennis?

From the article, "one hacker has received an email from Sony just 24 hours after they released their statement. The letter, which is posted in full over at IGN, lets the recipient know in no uncertain terms that he must remove the hack from his console or face a permanent ban from PSN." It includes a link to the original letter.
There's plenty of proof that Sony is ramping up action and users are finding ways to circumvent this.
Guitar Hero with Taylor Swift songs was just plain wrong.
It's different players. The big players in digital downloads are Microsoft and Sony (through their console's stores), Valve through Steam for the PC and Amazon is also becoming a bit of a player. They're competing with brick and mortar retailers.
Yep, was about to comment the same thing. I played this and just thought there we so many similar games doing it better.
I saw a clip of Galactus as the end-boss in MvC3. I would literally last about 3 seconds.
PG WWE + Wii version + Mario = huge seller. I say that jokingly because every mom would gladly buy it for her kid but now that I think about it, I would buy that game.
IMO, quality is more important than quantity. In a lot of multiplayer shooters, it seems like there's always two or three favorites anyway. This is where the bulk of the people spend there hours.
In other words, I'm fine with less maps as long as there's some real excellent ones.
If you can't beat them, join 'em! I now wait patiently for release so I can beat up on my friends with Dante.
As a guy that only plays fighting games very, very occasionally, it's pretty remarkable that I have two fighting games on my list this year (MvC3 and Mortal Kombat). I think you can definitely make the case that this will be one of the highest profile years for fighting games since the glory days of arcade games.
Not the Hulk! You just left me with a very upsetting mental image. Although She-Hulk...
More games need systems like this. If I had a nickel for every time I've been ragequit on...
Glad this is coming back. I was a huge UT2004 fan back in the day and one of the little things that really made me love the feel of the game was double-jumping. It just worked with experience. Sometimes it's the little things that can make a game and maybe walljumping is one of them for GOW3.
Interesting post. Epic is using this beta as much as a marketing tool as a chance to catch bugs. Is beta the new demo?
They're catering to the Lowest Common Denominator (LCD) to sell the most games. It's not a problem except if they cut corners on the real game to make the simple mode. If that happens, the loyal fans get punished so the developer can sell more games.
We've waited too long!
Well put Steve.
