I don't blame you for that.
I really should finish some games before buying more but it will be hard to not get The Witcher 3 & it's very hard to pass up deals on old games when I find them. I stopped in the pawn shop today, found Driver for PS1 for $2.
If I was smart, I would play my PS1,2 & 3 games & let the new games come out & pick them up cheaper later.
I don't know if I'll ever play through them all.
If I keep going back to skyrim I know I won't get to them.
I need some sort of plan to at least put a nice dent in the backlog.
I've collected a stack of PS1 games and almost two full shelves of PS2 games.
My problem is I'm still working on my PS3 backlog.
I did start Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver PS1. I need to pop that back in and play some more. I made it to the first boss and beat him. I don't have any of the PS1 REs yet.
PS1, I got ...
Metal Gear Solid
Heart of Darkness
Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver
Blood Omen Legacy of Kain
Final Fantasy IV ...
DS4 3.65V, 1000mAH battery
DS3 3.7V, 1800mAH battery
I got this info from scooby609 reddit post. He replaced the DS4 battery with a DS3 battery he bought on amazon. Battery life went up to 14hrs per charge compared to 8hrs per charge .
I have been buying PS1 and PS2 disc games on ebay because I missed most of them as well. I'll have to make a list and post it. There are a few games that are going for stupid prices for the physical game that are cheap on PSN. I'll have to go digital for Xenogears.
Batman has his series and even Green Lantern got a game. I would buy a good Aquaman game so I would definately be hyped for a Superman game. What about a Justice league action RPG?
I think most people want the light bar turned off because they believe that's what's causing the battery drain. Maybe the DS4 battery just isn't as good as the DS3's. Like I said before, I'm more concerned about the analog sticks. Mine are already becoming smooth. I would like a charge to last longer too, who wouldn't but I don't see them changing the battery for the controllers and the sticks wearing down so quickly concerns me alot more.
The difference is blu rays aren't going anywhere and they aren't internet reliant so you have both options and freedom to choose. That's the way it should be for consoles going forward.
He's talking about downloadable games. Come on, you know what he meant. And there is a huge difference between "digital" as he means it and disc games as far as value and the freedom of use. I suspect you know this as well. Why act like there isn't a difference? Unless you're referring to PC games, which he isn't.
1- Sell Gaikai & get away from this "digital" nonsense.
I mean, it's fine if you want to put up a digital version of a game on PSN but get back to & play to the strengths of consoles. Get away from the internet reliance trend.
2- Add in the features that the PS3 had like music playback & get the PS4 the basic features everyone wants.
3- Address the DS4 analogue stick issues.
This year...
The Witcher 3 The wild Hunt
The Order 1886
Alien Isolation
Destiny
Mad Max
MGSV Groound Zeroes
Transister
Hyper Light Drifter
Galak-Z The Dimensional
Next Year...
Wolfenstein The New Order
Uncharted
Mighty No.9
The Division (maybe)
I'm glad I got one at launch. Truthfully, I could have waited. I'm already back to PS3 games. I just like that I have a PS4 in my set-up waiting for the killer games coming this year. I have such a backlog that the new console game drought is a good thing. I could probably put a bigger dent in my backlog if I didn't replay Deus Ex HR because I got the Director's cut for Christmas. I'm almost through the game though. This time, hardest difficulty, no alarms raised & kil...
I don't like reliance on internet either.
PS Now doesn't really interest me. I own physical PS1, PS2 & PS3 games & the consoles to play them so I'm not interested in rentals.
That said though, for those that are interested in flushing money down a toilet, how hard could it be for the service to pull down a temporary wrapper to your system? This would be be like playing the game locally on the PS4 using emulation but without a permanent install of the game....
I guess alot of people got Xboned in Dec.
They shouldn't have bent over so easily.
:)
I would like the rubber on the DS4 analoge sticks addressed and I want custom soundtracks.
I'm more concerned about the rubber on the analoge sticks wearing out.
The light bar isn't a problem.
If you take away the thing I love about console gaming, having a console & a collection of games playable for my lifetime then I won't be interested in console gaming anymore. Why would I be?
Well, it wouldn't be streaming only. There could be a few ways to go full blown digital distribution.
Music cds aren't as pricey as games & I wouldn't think they come close to the cost of making a game.
I think the whole industry wants one big steam service or something like it. Better yet, make their own steam like digital distribution service, streaming, you name it. Anything to kill permanent games. It can still come on a disc & be vaporware in the futur...
You are spot on.
Brothers, really? Brothers, DMC & Bioshock Infinite & that's just this month. MS isn't ever going to match anything unless there's piles of money they can gain by doing it.
It's just funny that he only mentioned Brothers.
