I think Japan brought many of the ideas that Western developers are now just expanding on. Resident Evil 4 was a brilliant concept and then Epic took that basic style and made it better.
Sony now says it's Feb 23rd. They previewed the game in Qore with the wrong release date.
QD said the US version won't be censored. The preview build wasn't censored and did contain nudity. Whether it lacks something for the other versions won't be know until the full game is in the hands of the media.

@Hisura- This was the big announcement they were teasing for the day. They posted on their Twitter a big announcement was happening on GameSpot On the Spot and the character was it.
Sales will be decent for what the game is. It won't be a million seller, but it'll sell okay for a fighter on Wii.
Wii drop from 2008 is massive. Almost 1 million units. Wow. I'm sure sales are still strong here, but that's a big drop. They need something to get the Japanese interested again.
Let's see what Turn 10 has prepped for 2010. DLC would be nice but let's hope for more.

NSMB Wii almost at 2.5 million sales. That's impressive. FF13 sales are still going fairly strong. Could hit 2mill soon.
You use a port that Sega admittedly stated they didn't go a good job of as reference? Most developers have made excellent titles using the PS3 hardware as the groundwork.
That would be ideal to see happen. Hopefully Sony does add it into the next PSP version. They are fun quiz games to play with friends and family.
inFamous was a delightful surprise. The game is one of the top games for 2009. Can't wait for the sequel.
