These were all some of the biggest most hyped games of the year! The real unsung heroes of 2010 are games like Singularity, Enslaved, Alan Wake and MAG. Games that dared to try something new and failed because they were buried by the very games listed in this article!

Seriously though, why is it every time a new game comes out and it needs an install people freak? Its nothing new and its not that big a deal. Maybe if you have a 20 gig launch PS3, even then its not that hard or expensive to get a bigger hard drive.

He calls these games commercial failures, yet you don’t quote any numbers. What were the sales figures? What was each games budget? How much money did they lose? What makes them failures? Great article. I had the same reaction to GoW 3. You'd think devs would put more thought into their endings. The ending is what most people remember, so It would make sense to make the ending awesome. Did you play Enslaved? Good, god! Good game, awesome story, WTF ending.

Fuck Activision. Raven makes a Kick ass game in Singularity, IMO better then The past 3 CoDs, but does Activision care? No. They don't market the game, dump it out in the middle of summer and now their pulling Raven off development of a New IP to get them to work on CoD/ Did they not learn anything from Guitar Hero? Yes I guess you're right. What I was thinking with Battlefield was how DICE almost completely changes the series every few sequels but still keeps the core gameplay, large scale vehicular warfare, intact. They're not afraid to experiment with the series, while all those games you mentioned just build upon what came before, were as Battlefield completely builds itself from the ground up every few games. I've always been a proud PS3 owner. And 360 and PC. Why stick with just one system?
Sequels! After this tear I hope Sony gets some new IPs. After the third game a series almost always goes down hill. The only series that I can think of that hasn't started to go stale after 3 games is Battlefield. Other Devs have to look at how EA and DICE reinvent the series every few games while still keeping what makes battlefield awesome there.

Hell yeah! I love Lame Castle. I was num 1 on the leaderboards for a while, num 2 now. Getting the 4 million points the get back on top is a real pain. Anywho, go buy lame castle! Its only $0.99, or if you're cheap get the free trial. Its awesome.

I don't have high hopes for Homefront. KAOS Studios last game, Frontlines, was an ok Battlefield clone, and now Homefront looks to be an ok CoD clone.
