Decent Total Length (including minigames and such) and Replayability
No Breaking Glitches
Characters you like and not absolutely loath (im looking at heavy rain...). Some hateable characters are OK but not ALL of them
Post game extras are always fun
Game mechanics that are easy to pick up but have depth for those willing to invest time
Is starfox 64 / MGS3
they are all crap/average except 5 which is "ok" but thats not saying much
ill just wait for sony to make a prootype and then we can all criticise them into making it good
(just referencing the banana controller where it took every sony fan on the planet to make them realise the controleer looked like crap and gave us back the awesome dualshock, well the sixaxis technically but...)

unfortunately valve is not adding new campaigns so they community is dying fast, only about 1000 players left now.
There are good custom campaigns but you can't get xp on them so noone plays them, Valve needs to take the best custom maps, fix them up and let xp be gained on them of the game is to survive
