There’s certainly something wrong with the 40g ps3, to be more specific its the blu-ray drive that's crap. I don't know exactly what it is but it just stops working after a certain time. I had this problem and several other belgian and dutch people too. There is a dutch forum were someone started a topic for this specific failure and there has been A LOT of reaction.
