From the article: "From a business perspective it makes sense and I’m certainly looking forward to some sequels, but as a long-time gamer I’d rather see new and fresh."
Take off the fanboy glasses, too - Sony isn't paying you to defend their business interests. It's funny how the article is spot-on with its #5 for the 'how to make it rock' segment: "Everyone loves watching people hurl insults and snide remarks, devoid of all logic and intelligen...
Because it's E3 time. Didn't you read the article? ;)
I agree with all of those.
Don't let your e-erection over wanting Alan Wake to flop for whatever fanboyish reason distract you too much, lest you're unable to read anything without providing an uninformed rant about the game.
So that means you could do such a thing? I agree there is so much out there we don't NEED, but I'm willing to bet most people wouldn't (or couldn't) do something similar with cell phones, computers, television, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.
I'd bring up something about people needing to get laid, but it's a gaming "news" site so that'd be redundant.
Kudos to Randy for his skills.
...play games that were released up until then since nothing else worthwhile is released.
...if only stuff like that was actually in the game.
Hope I have the time/money to play them all.
...and yet so accurate.
...but she doesn't really do Bayonetta's flamboyant personality justice in the video.
Thank God no moogles or chocobos are involved.
It's as if it was only yesterday I was finding that weird guy in the basement thinking, "what the hell?"
...or not.
But is that technically a trailer? It's a great work of CG artistry no doubt, but the list is mainly concerned with pre-release trailers.
Needs more Killer7!
And you wouldn't be wrong, but if it's a game addiction that "sets them off," it's game addiction the lens needs to be focused on. Let's not forget that video game addiction doesn't by its nature equate to real-life violence.
Sadly, it couldn't even do THAT right.
The article is more about the perceived notion that when sequels are handed off to new/different developers, said developers get a rougher time from critics than the original devs did -- the "B-team curse." It's not saying Treyarch or Obsidian are bad developers - rather, they're good developers that might not get a fair shake come review time.
