The Standalone is probably for use on upcoming PSN titles plus online chat or something like that.

$32 mill for a studio that by my opinion have made the best next gen car game so far (and one of the best selling).
Not bad at all. Compare it with MS who paid $50 mill for extra content on one single game (not that there is anything wrong with that). I would rather buy a studio and make a ton of games.

I have both Systems. So far I have more 360 games. The last two game I have bought were BioShock and Halo 3. I might buy Mass Effect before Xmas, But thats it. After that there isn't a single game for the 360 I fell I must have. Of course I will get Gears of War 2, but who knows when that's comming out.
For the PS3 it's the other way around. I have only bought 4 games so far plus a ton of PSN ...

I'm personally getting at least 6 PS3 games. The only 360 game I'm thinking of buying is Mass Effect.
Wrong. Every PS3 sold is a nail in HD DVD's coffin.
And this Xmas is going to be brutal.
With the HD formats selling low compared to DVD, it will have a major impact. Just people buying a single Blu-ray for their PS3 will move big numbers.

Normal they do have a spot in the 10 top. Mostly under European countries, but with the US economy as it is right now I don't know if they even do that.

The build in drive holds 8.5 GB. The External add-on HDDVD holds upto 30GB but can not be used for games.
It might take a while before 100GB is needed for games.
But in the Movie/Series games it's needed now.
Think of releasing all Seinfeld's/Friends on one or two dics.
Why make Lord of the rings trilogy on 3 discs when you can do it on one.

5.4 Isn't far off for me.
After playing a total of 1 hour of the campaign I thought to myself "This is not fun. It doesn't look good and the story doesn't hold me. Should I keep playing just because it's Halo 3... Hell No!"
After than I've been playing online. And now Gears of War is back in the box. I've gotten used to Next Gen graphics.. I can't go back.
Actually the launch PS3's are still the best ones on the market.
Of course we paid more. But we knew that from the start.
On the 360 side it's the other way around. The new models are better.
It's funny how they squeezed one last gen console in there (PS2) but only that one to make sure the PS3 was last.
Actually there are tons of 1080p games out. Just not for the Xbox360.
