Yeah but probably it will be worth it. If ubisoft or EA price their yearly crap games 100$ I wouldn‘t even consider buying them for a second.
R* doesn‘t need an excuse. Their games use to set the bar so high that no one even comes close for years and years. No company has come close to RDR2 when it comes to open worlds and the same will happen with GTA6.
We all know games are a higher risk to make these days as they got so much more expensive to make than in the past but the prices stayed almost the same.
I‘d gladly pay 100$ if that makes the devs break even faster IF that means we finally get polished games with no cut content and no microtransactions back. I hate to pay current prices and be introduced to a shop within the first 10 minutes

I‘m not sure if this is going to happen. They release their games on PS5 first so either people who really want to play them are going to double dip when it comes to PC later or actually get a PS5 and then they‘re in their ecosystem where they take a 30% cut of every penny you spend. Also everyone they lure in might subscribe to PS+ at one point. That’s where the money is at

Why do people have issues with a person they don’t even know? He made TLOU exactly how he envisioned it and it’s his story he wants to tell. Why do people expect everyone to cater to them? If you don’t like something, skip it. Obviously more people liked it but the people who didn‘t just can’t shut up about it
The list is really good aside from Far Cry. This game was made by Crytek and only published by Ubisoft who later bought the IP to hand it over to their studios while Crytek went doing the Crysis series
Basically what we got with for example Rainbow 6 Siege already. Paying for yearly passes, but RS also required to purchase a full priced game..
I don't think this is too greedy. 10$ a year? Why not? You can choose to pay that after year one or not - paying 60$ upfront would be 6 years of trackmania. Only a very low percentage of gamers will play that long.
