Agree, I've just got it out on rental and it is great fun!
Definitely worth checking out for anybody who has so far missed it, graphics are no great shake but the gameplay more than makes up for it.
Deformable terrain (for both players and locusts) would be a nice addition to gameplay. To have a horde of locusts smashing down walls/buildings hunting you down; also having the option of breaking walls/buildings of your own choice to channel the buggers into a more favourable 'killing zone'.
Plus a much enhanced single player game, including improved AI for the idiot sidekick - for those of us that enjoy such things.
there's only a couple in that list I'm really interested in (from a playing point of view), more if the curiously missing Bioshock, C&C and several others due to be shortly released was included.
But that's not really the point, there's a good range of quality titles that cover a lot of the bases that will interest people from a gaming aspect (regardless of console format).
That is good news for all (excepting rabid console fanboys, though 360 nuts will be gr...
there's no beating the good old speccy (48/128), that patient waiting and then the slightest tinkering with the azimuth on the tape deck - just to load that pernickety game. Then to find out the anticipation was greater than the actual game!
The good old days, kids - what do they know about games? :)
this game and its storyline had kinda passed me by, I had read it was a comic book - but that was it pretty much.
But now, this does sound something special, it's good to play as the 'evil' aspect and this could furnish that in bucket loads. Heres hoping they put enough effort into the single player mode to really tempt me!
If the above 'rumours' are correct, it would seem possible - if not sensible of MS to give a cheaper upgrade option hdd, to allow 'catch up'.
That said, it would be almost bearable if my 360 suddenly dies on me, an excuse like that would give me no other option but to get a new one. :)
Dunno whether to laugh or cry, as one of those poor saps not on Live (I use a 3G connection on a laptop) and who thoroughly enjoyed Oblivion - it sucked that S.I was only on download.
And from reading the article it seems that I may have to pay for Oblivion (+ content) again, rather than just the content.
A classic case of wait and see...
Wow, I never realised it never got into the top 40; it's a fantastic game and deserved better. Then again, what does one expect from such suicidal tendency pinata as to go against Gears and survive?
Interesting to see what's in store and to whom (or what) they commit hari kari to next:)
Are they going to have an ingame C.S.A (Child Support Agency) to keep track of the 'missing' fathers? At least we know a possible use for the dog.
Having played the first Fable on xbox, I never really got into it. But, it does sound interesting and another game on the 'following' list.
I'm not on Live, but having read all this - methinks I'll just stick the
serial number of my 360 down. The one thing in common is both liable to die at any moment (in game - that is) :)
but as long as its quality and fun - I'm not too bothered about its setting.
That said, hopefully they'll be able to use the game engine (fight anywhere aspect) in new scenarios.
