i'd prefer a skype app on the xmb any day. make it a watered down version, no text or video chat, just free skype to skype voice chat, 12 person party, & the option to buy upgrades from the ps store for voicemail, & the option to call out to land lines & cell phones. now that's something i wouldn't mind paying for. something psn+ should have had @ launch.

sony better keep thier promise re. beta access, if i don't get access to a min of 6-7 betas over the course of my annual PSN+ subscription, imma definitely be disappointed & wont renew when the time comes.
if gearbox does do this game, i'll consider it a write off. borderlands was ported to the ps3 & it showed. when i trolled their forums the devs only listed xbox gamer tags on their profiles, no psn id's. moderators on their forums would change users forum posts when the dev was called out on ca$hing in on dlc, even tho the game had some major issues @ that time. (ex. broken friends list & inv system.) i have no respect or interest in dev's who make broken sub par games, ca...

when ps3 owners take a break from from gaming, they can use their console web browser, to read, add submissions & reply to posts on this & many other websites as well. The convenience of having a web browser in a gaming console is fantastic... now where did i put my brazzer's membership code?...(ya, that works on the ps3 too!) 'nuff said.

other than the games, (hope you like what sony dishes out.) the "+" package is lacking much needed social networking options. no Xgame chat, no XMB parties, no SKYPE app (i can dream.), no sharing music or vids with friends online...HOME doesn't have it & i guess sony sees no use having XMB access to these types of features for those not interested in HOME. Can't believe E3 has come & gone, with no network enhancements or FW announcements... E3 disappoints...add on a...

the bugs i mentioned persist to this day...
sure there's alot of potential with this game & it looks great on paper, but since day 1 the game has fatal flaws. a completely bugged/broken in game friends list, now i ain't kidding, current friends are not on the list & people i deleted years ago appear on it. the inv system is shoddy at best, & mics don't work online...kinda makes the idea of playing with friends a joke. yup, i agree, gearbox has no love for the ps3. a second rate dev that doesn't fix thier games & support...
making $$$ hand over fist, & they shaft gamers with a glitchy unfinished game, unbalanced preks rife with exploits...not to mention the absence of dedicated servers for online play, making the experience a complete lag fest most of the time. it stuns me that this game isn't criticised more & that gamers seem to be complacent re. the overall quality of IW's most recent offering.

for almost as long as XGC has.. take a look at the ps & skype forums. every year, starting around E3 & ending just after TGS the rumors fly that this will be the year XGC comes to the ps3. it never happens. even putting aside the XGC feature, i keep asking myself, why hasn't skype been added to the ps3's XMB? to have the option to use a watered down version would be a great convenience for many ps3 users, no need for video or text chat, just free skype to skype voice chat, 12...
