2011 is going to be one hell of a year
I don't think every game has to have it, but in this case it would be pretty cool to operate as a squad to take out objectives, esp since there are AI characters working in tandem with you
If they want to raise money, they should just release a map pack with rehashed maps and put the proceeds toward the foundation. Oh wait..they already did that and put the money in their pockets.
Two Things
Even Nintendo thought that the original design of the controller was a failure. That's why they released Wii Motion Plus.
It doesn't say the Wii is a massive failure, it says "a device that would succeed where its predecessors have failed." Such as the Eyetoy, the original Wii-mote, etc
@Aggesan:
1. You're right, keeping the tank in that position for very long is sure to get it blown up by one of the AT guns. However, I do find it effective at long range at demolishing stuff once those rockets are taken down. There's nothing like rolling through with all the vehicles wreaking havoc at the ground level.
2. You're right, at least in theory. Sometimes it pays to mix things up - taking out the trees changes the focus of your attack from "just r...
@eagle21:
I think you bring up an interesting point but take your hyperbole too far. I agree that over the last 20 years gaming journalism has turned into an outlet for corporations to advertise their games and overall we've seen a drop in sincere, insightful, quality reporting.
As games have become more complex, the information we're given about them has become hermetic and meaningless. Sometimes I get the feeling that game "reviewers" don't play games eno...
@ThatCanadianguy420:
Agree - it's primarily about community, but the site structure also has a hand in what gets to the top too (for example, different category structures, submission forms, and guidelines). Reddit and Digg are essentially the same concept executed with minor variations but it's the community that really defines them... and sparks a healthy competition between them.
Agree - flamebait, cosplay girls, and incendiary posts are N4G's version of old media...
These days it seems like we're so overwhelmed with the constant stream of new games, ads, promos, trailers, pre-sales, etc. that gamers don't get a chance to really play and appreciate the games that they own. How will the next group of "remember when..." games like Super Mario Bros., Metroid, and Sonic the Hedgehog be defined if we can't even remember what we played last week?
Seriously.
@NecrumSlavery, @Anorexorcist:
Hi, I'm the author of the editorial.
NecrumSlavery: I'm glad to hear that you're having a flawless experience. Unfortunately, while using the official PS3 Bluetooth Headset my experience has not been flawless. Much of my disappointment pertains to the audio quality generated by others on the PlayStation Network in various games and not from the PS3 headset which I find to be average in all respects. If the majority of other players had ...
It is my intention to get you to reflect upon your experience playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 on PS3 and then ask: Is this something I'd rather play on Xbox 360?
Please assume you have both systems, have signed up for both services, have friends, a headset for each, and 60 dollars burning a hole in your pocket the day the game comes out. You might go to Toys R Us to get it because you don't have to reserve it there and they'll have a pile of them. You may also consider taking a...
Only 3 gaming sites should be allowed to exist: IGN, Gamespot, and maybe Kotaku. Everyone else should learn to echo the party line, stop producing material, head on out to Gamestop and reserve their games.
If Sony gave everyone a free, working headset would they receive praise from the media and their gamers?
The lighting is amazing
