10,000's of sites get ddos every month, and i can guarantee sony had ddos protection years ago
its just a result of a big zombie ddos attack along with new psn users signing up by the thousands daily,they chose to do it before the maintainance as they probably knew sony were taking psn offline today to add more server and the ddos wouldn't of worked after
