me to.. running a new machine with vista ultimate. and i'm happy with it. and yes i remember the times when XP was the next bad thing.. and it turned out a good OS.
VISTA now has the same performance as XP, it just needed time to get video drivers and stuff.
i'm not a big fan of microsoft but i gotta agree with you. they made the pc gaming into what it is today. and without PC's.... no consoles and console gaming.

i own an premium x360. my only crapped on me once. i got 1 red ring, the guys from assistance said it was the upscaler chip. and since i also experienced problems with the dvd drive they replaced that too with a new and more quieter drive. the good thing ? only one week i got my x360 back from germany. and yeah i live in portugal.
i dont own an elite. but when the console only had 4 months it was send for repair to germany. it wasnt 3 red rings. just 1, it was the upscaler chip. the good thing ? only took one week. i shipped it from portugal btw
