I hope not, the only reason that I can think of John cena being in MVC3 is because of his popularity, It will certainly help sell more units and seeing it's made by Capcom I wouldn't rule that out.
I don't get why the hackers are targeting the ps3 so much, It's obvious that they are extremely talented at what they do so I am pretty sure they will have no trouble getting a good job if they just go to Apple/Sony and just ask for a job instead of getting them mad by hacking their stuff.

Call of duty doesn't sell because it's the best fps out there, It sells because of the casual crowd, Call of duty is without a doubt the most popular franchise in games right now, I don't see it failing in sales because modern warfare 2 came out in 2009 when there were great games like Uncharted 2, Left 4 dead 2, Killzone 3 and many others and still sold ton more than those games.
I really don't think Gran turismo 5 will have any impact on Nascar game sales. It's like saying need for speed sales are going to be affected by grand theft auto since they have driving in GTA games, Nascar is not the main focus of Gran turismo while it is the main focus of Nascar games.
