First online game component I've played that couldn't hold me for 30min at least.
They should make it a downloadable series. Give it a reasonable price tag, throw on 3-d, move, kinect support. Add a time attack leaderboard, and some sort of triathlon/race/faction vs faction online modes and call it Diamond's Edge. BOOM. If it does ok port it to the Wii and iPad(along with some motion comics).
EA should hire me :D
Take out Zelda and put in Super Mario Bros. Otherwise good list, Mass Effect and God of War 3 could be replaced with Killzone 2/3 and Mario Galaxy though.
Again this is subjective.
Based off the demo, this is not a half assed game. But am I going to buy it? No. I assume if there's a Bulletstorm 2, they'll drop the arcade points system and make the game more appealing to a broader audience.
They should add on a 720p Witcher 1 as well. Or let Steam port it to MAC...I don't have a PC :(
What, they've been working on other games, it has nothing to do with "Valve time" lol. They're a great developer, but they still run on the same schedules as other developers.
What!! It's only 24... first I've heard of this. I guess it makes sense though. Can you still spectate?
I was thinking more the lines of Condemned 2 with zombies.
Bulletstorm is not competing directly against KZ3, it's a new IP that's going up against one in it's 3rd installment...who do you think is gonna sell more...(on ps3)
Yeah, I'm in the same boat, I'm not a fan of the subscription fees. I was about to by DCU before I found out there was a monthly fee. With my console I go through games month to month, I'm not gonna hunker down and play a MMORPG for a year. I think it has to do with my preference for a story that has a proper ending.
Borderlands my friend, which was stripped down in many ways so that the multiplayer experience worked properly. With a game like Elder Scrolls, this is difficult as the narrative would have to change to accommodate multiple player interactions.
I agree though, I'd love to see a sidekick system, as in a buddy that's just a long for the ride and doesn't interact other than quest based (vs. story based) objectives.
The games that are innovating are not getting the same attention that the games with massive marketing budgets are. And i'm talking about the general gaming public, not the core games that visit this site. There's gotta be something marketable in it.
Wow, this article was a complete waste of time.
The Killzone series really isn't to be compared to Halo and Call of duty, which don't have anywhere near the same technical specs as Killzone.
@trounbyfire
Ok... ME2 has the most impressive dialogue trees I've ever seen in a game. ME2 also has incredible facial movements, even though half of the persons are aliens, you can always get a sense of emotion from the characters. Heavy Rain's voice acting, frankly, was crap. ME2's was just stellar(pun intended).
Heavy Rain and ME2 are not even close to being comparable other than the speech systems and graphics...
Riiiiidge racerrr
sweeeet, thanks for the replies, looks like I'll be getting my first MMORPG in 2011 :D
Wow, I've only finished New Vegas out of the list...
My List of immersive games:
Gran Turismo 5 (w/ wheel)
Battlefield BC2
Fallout New Vegas
COD:BO - zombie mode
Kids shouldn't be playing video games, they should be running outside, on the streets in between lanes of traffic. What's happened to our society.
so is this gonna be a subscription game, or one time retail purchase? I'm really interested, but the idea of a MMO on the PS3 just seems too good to be without flaws. Is the beta buggy or anything?
Wow, no.4 on the list is idiotic.
Anyways, my list:
1. Bring back all Squad based/Clan based features(squad chat, officers, spawning on squad mates[have a recharge delay for this, so if a person spawns on the leader, have a 30 second period where the next person who wants to spawn on him has to wait])
2. Take out front/side one hit melee kills, seriously, everytime I kill or get killed by someone who just runs up to me with the intent to kn...
