I spend about a $1000 a year on psn. Saving 40% over the course of the year, I would be a fool no to buy it. Automatic betas is the icing on the cake.
Leon, I respectfully disagree. Zelda on the nes is still to this day my favorite game. I love the new direction Twilight princess brang to this gen. Someone should tell him the GT serieas has outsold halo1, halo2, halo3, halo wars, halo odst, gears of war1, gears of war2, fable1, fable 2, mass effect 1, mass effect 2, forza1, forza2, forza3, and alan wake combined. Eat that fact. Try to spin that one. Halo still hasn't surpassed most gt games.
It could be on ps1 and i would still love it. Or the xbox360 I would have still bought it and loved it. I bought a ps3 at launch because of Gow3. That game sold me. I wouldn't have cared about the length. Game a good game its props and move on.
The length of Gow3 is perfect. It is a AAA game in every aspect of it. It you have gamed for a long time and play every genre of game, you would know video game progression over the years. You can't deny it moved the industry foreward. That is a good thing. I would love to see more games put more polish in there games. I hope everyone gives this game a chance. It's a gem. It happens all the time in business. Throw out ideas amoungst employess and see what sticks. It's very plausible that MS started it. They are the kings of it.Now I'm not saying it $100 is right or wrong but I know some of you are young on this site and don't realize this is what happens in business. I'm not judging MS. The beta is awesome. I had low expectations for Mag but after playing the beta I'm impressed. This is a day one buy for me. It is 128 players max right now. The big test is for 256. I will be thoroughly impressed if there is no lag. I have to say I believe they are going to pull it off. The gameplay is outstanding. Sleeper hit of next year.
I stayed up all night playing wolfenstein and i'm exhausted.
