How much easier does it need to get. You select your friend then send invite. Explain to me how much easier you can get. It takes FIVE count them five button pushes and bam invite sent. Xbox takes 4 presses of the button. This is a 2006 argument and a stupid one at that. This is the first gen of consoles that online play has become mainstream. Other than Sony, MS, and Steam, there is no other system to base any argument or comparison. I play video games not social features.
This garbage again. Nothing like beating a dead horse. You want social go to facebook. It's a VIDEO GAME system. The store lets you buy games and it works. Name ten other products that have the equivalent functions and features or better. Stop hating and enjoy what you have.
They are hardcore because the amount of time they out into playing. As with anything people do. Putting 30 hours in a week doesn't make you hardcore, putting in 80 does. You all have a lack of understanding what the word hardcore means.
those are the true hardcore gamers, the rest claim to be hardcore. I'm level 20.
Game stories are lacking today. Fast paced games are all the rave today (mw, gears, halo, etc.) Good character development and immersive stories and worlds are essential in making a game worth it. Shock value, mp, and a million guns are what developers focus on.

I was aware of Demon Souls you could. From didn't expect people to be so crafty. They said in Dark Souls they were going to restrict it but I'm sure eventually someone will find a work around. I'm 200+ hrs in and loving this game.
You can't play with friends. It was the same on Demon Souls.

edit liquid dust when they had dedicated servers it was possible it you were together in a remote area but with dark souls they don't have the same server set up. I could be wrong but From said they are going to restrict playing with friends this time I'm trying to find the link ...
I do believe From said you can't connect to friends on your friends list. I tried to find a link for you but the internet search for darks souls is a mess. I believe the article was from IGN or Gamespot. Sorry I couldn't link you.

I see your point but you can't duplicate or buy the important ones. If someone honestly make it to lvl 350, they have had time to collect the important ones unlike the exploiters which makes his weapons stronger by default.
Nobody ever responds when movement comes up. You can't make a shooter unless it's on rails. Kinect has uses but fps aren't it. To those that say use a controller with kinect, it takes two hands to use a controller what is kinect for? The only thing you can do with kinect is party games, rail shooters, and simplified games. If anyone can think of anything else let me know.
The infinite souls glitch isn't a game breaker or is it going to be a problem. Nobody can invade anyones game unless they are within 5+ or 5- of your level. Anyone who exploited this has no advantage. If anything they screwed themselves because they didn't play the game and earn armor or weapons to use with there soul level. I agree with the dragon though.

You are right but LittleBigPlanet is right there in this conversation. It's hard to choose either. LBP is endless game engine and Dark Souls is pure gameplay.

Other than a few select people from Bungie that stayed behind , it's a new studio. The vast majority of 343 are all new to Halo. 343 has yet to make a Halo and shouldn't try to make themselves out to be more than they are. A new studio. I wish them luck. Developers need to let their games do the talking. Hype and lose lips are the bane of this industry.
343 should make a game first (Halo) before they start talking like they are the standard. They inherited Halo and should feel lucky, be humble and embrace what was handed to them.
