night, Publishers & development houses would cease to be profitable, exist.

Not necessarily, Gameplay is more Intergal, but graphics can enhance a Great game, meaning great gameplay, story, plot, lore, soundtrack,voice acting, etc., & graphics being secondary to all these "cornerstone" elements of a game. But take all those things, & THEN add top notch graphics, & your talking "Classic AAA" game, Franchise Big seller type of game....

Just like in other Business sectors the globe over, the games Industry is no different.
Its a Cartel, & the agenda is "Consolidation" of the gaming entertainment business.
Kinect imo sux, its not relevant to more than the "majority" of CORE gamers on 360, it has FAILED to capture the imagination of at least 97% of 360 owners, the tech for it is not up to snuff, the lag etc, ...its a gimmick, dont care if u Kinect Owners like what I just said, Its a GIMMICK, next gen it'll be the same thing, an expensive Gimmick that some will take a chance on a purchase.
