Yes, finally Silent Hills -Goes to cry in a corner under the shower-
As always
"Two things we're worried about a remake:
1- It's too similar.
2- It's too different"
Everyone is going to complain anyway.
I was going for Guitar Hero, but the DLC model they choose is a complete kick in the balls. This said, I'll go with Rock band.
We've gone from buying over priced DLC... to rent it.
There's a demo, so you can make an opinion of your own.
Episodic gaming... immersion... well, it's obvious. this said, I'm not against episodic gaming when used right. I have no problems with games like The Walking Dead or Life is Strange. Their gaming mechanics are simple, and sometimes you don't even feel like you're playing at all. If those games were released in a single package, probably all reviews would go like "this is not a game. This is a movie". Episodic gaming is, as I see, a way to make these games less tedio...
Well... if you play Nintendo games just to beat the game, they're usually easy. In the other hand, trying to get a 100% is a real challenge, in Mario 3D world (Hell, the extra levels are a nightmare) and the latest Yoshi's game.
Also, I see some trend between the "hardcore" gamer. They usually think they're the only kind of gamer, but forget that there are younger ones, hell, even kids (awesome, isn't it?) who are not "hardcore" and need a ...
Or you can read the article: "Several people who said who have seen a demo said what they saw is impossible to run on a computer without a "industry-leading" or "cutting-edge" chips. Cutting-edge in what way, they refused to elaborate."
As you can see, that opinion is based in what they saw, not running the demo. They saw awesome graphics (I suppose) and that's their opinion.
Boy, I'll not take in account all you said about Nintendo and that, since it's your opinion and it's all right. Just want you to know that if you do a 360º, you'll end up in the same starting point. Maybe a 180º would be better.
Meh, more remakes. Like Uncharted, TLOU, Dishonored, Gears of War, God of War 3, Protoype, DMC 4, PayDay 2, FF X-X2, Borderlands, DMC, Saints Row 4, GTA 5, Halo, Diablo 3, Metro, Tomb Raider, Wind Waker... Damn Nintendo, full of remakes, nostalgia, nostalgia.
And here I Am, still waiting for a really good chance to get Alien Isolation on PS3 ;_;
Specs? What specs?
Well... this generation's life has been strange after all, but's not "so soon":
SNES 1991
N64 1996
GameCube 2001
Wii 2006
Wii U 2012 (six years)
NX 2017 (?)
It's the same 5 years cycle as always... this gen has been pretty slow on games, dont you think? Cant believe PS4 and Xbone are already 2 years old....
I agree with you. call me a weirdo, but this gen has been pretty slow until now, I just cant believe PS4 and Xbone are two years old. And yes, I'm talking about games. The exclusive library of good released exclusive games (and please dont count remakes on this) aren't big enough. I suppose this will change eventually.
Agree. Plus, the characters usually used in Melee are the ones that are, let's say, "normal" fighting characters. Punches, kicks, and a fireball. They're missing the opportunity to learn new characters styles, like the tricky Duck Hunt, Monado's shulk, Olimar... maybe is just they're lazy.
Yeeeeeeeey more remakes...
"Runs away" "pride". Two things that just cant go together in a single sentence.
Well, I'll be honest here, at various levels. First of all, I didn't read the article, but's easy to see where it's going. And, to be honest, I kind of think the same way, about 2D marios. In my opinion, New Super Mario Bros series has become stale, they're funny, yes, and the Luigi's expansion is great, but there's nothing new to see there.
This said, I feel Mario Maker as a breath of fresh air to the 2D Mario formula. This game can be updated to ...
Oh, uh... eh... I'm speechless. Seriously, I dont even know what to say. Thank you sir, you made my day with this.
Well, this is weird.
Now we just need the shower scene.
Well... I'll give here my opinion. To me, this gen has been weird to say the least. It has been a really, really slow gen, I mean, the Xbone and PS4 are two years old now, and I fail to see many exclusive games on each one. Sure, they have great games, like Infamous Second Son and Bloodborne, but I really dont see this gen as... meaty as the previous one. It's full of remakes of games that aren't even old. It's full of the "same games as ever".
There...
