i dont know why anyone would ever buy a PS3 with a bigger hard drive. It's $100 more. For that same $100, you could buy a 500GB hard drive from newegg.

Ok i must agree this is hroribly slow.
I downloaded the initial 298mb from PSN @ about 1 MB/s or 900kb/s
Now, for the 2600MB , i've downloaded only 180MB in about 40 minutes.
i think the BIG issue is people who have a cap set on monthly downloads. For example i have a 95GB/month cap.
they only make these really expensive premium editions so people look at it and go meh then buy the collector's edition thinking they got a good deal.
$80USD/$90CDN is NOT a good price for MW2 + COD.

PSN is gonna be hammered on during E3. This may be a way to limit the collateral damage that may ensue!
@indyman77, if they really wanted to do something with psn user's IP's they'd implement somesort of integrated DDNS service on the PS3/PS4 itself to resolve known good accounts to their ip's.
PSN is obviously an 'open' service which makes it tough to be 'secure' without locking out legit users.
