Gaming is only 10 percent of Microsoft’s revenue. Their biggest competitors are google and amazon for cloud based services. You could say MS gets spanked when it comes to hardware, but MS is King of software and their stock and quarterly gains are proof of that.
For comparison Sony’s biggest money maker is their gaming sector at 25% of their revenue, and they actually use Microsoft’s Azure cloud for their streaming

The N4G community is a minority when it comes to gamers overall. People in general are casual gamers and don’t own a PC specifically for gaming. Most people own a laptop for work, and own a console. On this site most people have a PC and a PlayStation.

I’m actually surprised with this game. Judged it to harshly when I saw the trailer. It needs some work, but the art style and short story has kept me interested.
Sony has great games, but there showing hasn’t proved anything to me to upgrade for at least another year.
I’ll probably get downvoted to hell for this, but Sony’s showcase wasn’t exactly great either. Only gameplay we really saw from Their exclusives was ratchet and clank. Horizon, Spider-Man, and demon souls were announcement trailers. They didn’t have gameplay so why even show them?

I’d argue that MS understands exactly what they’re doing. They’ve made it clear the last year that gamepass is their priority not a console. Sony will be the top console by default
