Not as much as 360 fans need a game before gears of war 3.
Last year they had crackdown 2,alan wake and halo reach at the vgas. So probably something gears 3 related, a new trailer for the crytek game and a new game announcement.
Aslong as the IP is in the hands of activision the series will never go back to former glory. Who knows maybe the dec 12 announcement is sony has gotten back the crash bandicoot IP and naughty dog is bringing back the awesome. Yes a man can dream cant he?

The problem with UE3 was/is its overused and the vaseline shine allot of games had like gears. But i hope they fixed allot of that with these new improvements.

Then games like FF13,gears 2(gears 1 awesome game though) and MW2.
Lets be honest ps2 was a behemoth. I dont think any console in the near future will have a exclusive line up that even has half as many exclusives as the ps2 its more then 360,ps3 combined maybe even wii(quality titles) combined.
I dont think Shuhei Yoshida has been doing a bad job except for putting a hold on games like 8days and the getaway 3.

Problem is that game wasnt made by nintendo so didnt get viewed through nostalgic goggles like every mario and zelda game. Every other game gets spit on when it uses the same mechanics for 2 games while nintendo has been doing it for years.
I really hope the controlls are better then other M no offense loved the game but the last boss with the control scheme was just aggravating. Getting the game friday cant wait same for the sly cooper collection.
