Waiting for E3 to compare the XBOX ONE & PS4's APU's. PS4/DDR5 > XBOne/DDR3. PS4/OpenGL = XBOne/DX11
CRank: 5Score: 640

I think that after the inevitable success of the PS4 launch, Sony will have the financial means to grow their online services (such as 'cloud'), setting up hundreds of thousands of new servers, and starting the process of growing PSN into a LIVE/STEAM rival.

Just remember: The majority of Xbox 360's fanbase is expected to sway in favor of Sony this console-cycle (thanks in no small part to MS's own bad decisions & alienating of it's core fans). If the ...

Yeah... but this subject is so good - I just had to give my piece of mind about it, as thuroughly as possible! I'm passionate about this sorta stuff, and I'm also a big believer of leaving "no stone unturn". Hell, I got the freetime! ;p

I think the PS4 will still offer this. Infact: I bet it will offer that instant kinda simplicity alot of us oldschoolers love - even quicker! The PS4 is supposed to have nearly instant start-up, a lickity split fast menu, a better UI, and it's Bluray Drive is reportedly a 2nd or 3rd gen bluray drive! Sony's eluded that it's so fast, there is no need to 'install' most (I assume some will though) games to it's HDD. This means the games will startup faster, load faster, s...

I don't think the XBOX ONE is a neo-american product (or american-centric) - no more than I think the Nintendo 3DS is a Japanese-centric product because most of it's games cater to japanese tastes & many of it's games characters are teenage japanese hero archtypes, or have a slightly pediophilia-ish bend towards sexualizing school girls (a quirk exclusive to japanese culture; in japan, they view the archtype of beauty as pre-pudescent girls, & most of their professional/su...

You invested in gold!? Dear lord - Gold is one of the biggest ripoffs ever. You used to be able to do everything on SIlver- except play multiplayer - but microsoft had to change that recently. It just seems stupid considering Playstation and PC have been offering their survices and Multiplayer for FREE forever now. It just doesnt make financial sense to spend so much money on simply being 'able' to play a game. What with multiplayer being such an interigal part of many of todays best ...

I think alot of these designers are from big urban cities on the west coast - where infastructure is very good, people have lots of options of internet, cellphone & cable providers, and people's living wages are alot higher than in other parts of the world and even parts of the united states (like where I live on the eastcoast; the livingwage is like $23,000-$30,000 a year here).

Alot of these guys are nerds who's parents sent them to private schools, and who had ...

Why couldnt Microsoft just made it so that a person had a one-time activation to play a game? PC companies have been doing it for years. Buy a new game, sign-on, and activate it - then from there on out, If you want to play the game offline, you can.

Take you're game to a friends house, our buy it used, and then you gotta go online again and reactivate the game on you're console using you're acount and an internet connection. It's not rocket science.

Spirit tracks was a good little game - the music, like you meantion, was good. Major'as Mask had the best imo - the Obserbatory music that played in the stargazing old mans...obserbatory..that was hauntingly beautiful.

lol, agreed.

But hey, wait! Isn't Eggman actually Robotniks grandson? I think an episode of Sonic X covered this one, maybe, or was it a Sonic X movie?

I think you did a pretty bang-up job! I thought Agent 47 & Max Payne where probably the most well known of you're list - but since they have recent games it made perfect sense. Kratos is a given. But the Village Chief from RE4 was a pretty good call IMO - especially since he's kinda obscure to alot of todays gamers. I myself might have added Garland from Final Fantasy IX, Phsyco Mantis, or Grey Fox (he's bauld under that helmet).

I'm extremely glad you add...

I can't say much about the futures of either console - but the one thing I can say without a doubt, is that this is gonna be one EPIC E3! And thank god too - the last 3 or 4 E3's have been disapointing to say the least. This one may be (like 2006) one we remeber for years to come.

The D-pad looks infinitely better than the 'wheel o pain' featured on the 360's controller. However; it still looks unprecise compared to the D-pad on the Dual Shock 4. Microsoft should really steal the design from sony - that's the one thing sony's mastered (and thats why its been realatively unchanged for almost 20 years).

In my opinon; besides the Zoom in-and-out feature - the Rumbing Triggers is easily the most desireable feature I'd like to see Sony eventually steal from Microsoft. If they don't I think I may save my summer monies and spring for a XBOX One aswell next fall ( I already saved up enough for a PS4 over the last year). The Analogue Sticks on the XBOX Ones controller also impressed me.

Don't feel bad non americans. Microsoft isn't just ant-everyone else, but their also, anti-eastcoast united states!? Yep, their morning event took place at 1pm in the afternoon here in virginia. That means all of us intrested where at work!? And unless you work at a computure and have a very friendly boss - that means no watching it live. Which made it all the more disapointing when I rushed home, and downloaded it off Gamespot, just to find it was little over a hour of tv talk :( Atl...

I think many of Sony's greatest exclusives where of the PlayStation 1 era - infact, most the games on that system where exclusives at the time. Tomba, Jersey Devil, ChronoCross, Final Fantasy IX, Einhandier, Spyro 1, Parasite Eve, Breath of Fire IV, Digimon World 3, Wild Arms 2, Xenogears, Dragon Warrior VII, Grandia, Twisted Metal 2, Blood Omen, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Resident Evil 2, Tekken 3, PaRappa, Ape Escape, MediEvil, Tales of Destiny 2, Musashi, Legend of Mana, Duke Nukem 3, the l...

If Kratos had been on this list I would have laughed so hard :p

For me, either Link or Solid Snake deserve the #1 spot on this list - mainly for their selflessness, self sacrificing, and their loyalty to duty and the peoples of the world. to put themselves in between danger and the inocent without so much as a complaint...that's pretty cool. I'd like to be like that.

On a side note: My character in Taletells: Walking Dead wasn't exactly a very goo...

None of the Boss Battles in the Metal Gear Series are bad (except Fat-Man - but lets pretend that never happened ;p)

I guess for me personally: The best Boss Battle in a Metal Gear game, had to be the final Boss Battle in the original Metal Gear Solid - Solid Snake vs. Liquid Snake. It was broken into 3 segment: 1.) Snake vs. REX, 2.) Snake vs. Liquid - Brawling ontop Metal Gear REX, 3.) Snake vs. Liquid - playing 'Chicken' in Jeeps in a tunnel.

And t...

Aside from the Phillips games - I have loved EVERY Zelda game since the beggining (played em all - including the Oracle games & minish cap). However; I loathed Skyward Swords motion controls - they bogged down the experience for me (which is a shame since it was such an emotional & beautiful game), and Phantom Tracks (while fun and cleaver) was disapointing, tedious, and a wee bit confusing.

I have the entire zelda series soundtrack boxset. Sometimes I like to listen to music to help me sleep, so I like to play the orchestrated "Karako Village" theme song - usually it'll put me right to sleep. The funny thing is; I'll often dream that I'm wondering around Karako village, just watching the windmill spin around to the song of storms, chucking coocos and making small talk with the village residents...only, I never can understand what their saying!?
